IMPACT - Safe Schools

The 5th annual IMPACT! Conference is on Wednesday, November 8, from 9:30 a.m. — 2:15 p.m. at Campion Hall, on the Seattle University campus.

The IMPACT! Conference, a collaboration of the Seattle Police Department, Seattle Public Schools, Seattle University, Seattle Archdiocese of Catholic Schools and the Seattle Neighborhood Group, brings high school student leaders from the Greater Seattle Area together to discuss concerns/issues that impact their school safety and brainstorm solutions to improve the safety and well-being of their school community.

The theme for the IMPACT! Conference this year is "Building Bridges Beyond Bias." How does hate and bias impact school safety? Students will engage with peers, local law enforcement, school support staff, and field-expertise professionals about this topic and develop school safety plans to introduce in their respective schools.

The conference is free, lunch will be provided, and students can earn service-learning hours for participating. Please connect with your school's student activity coordinator or contact Jenny Frankl@ to learn more about IMPACT! and sign-up!
